Tales of the TBR – October Edition

Become a book blogger she thought. It’ll be fun she thought.

The books* are taking over! But that’s okay. Books are good… books are friends… books don’t judge you as you sit at 3pm on a Monday unwashed and on your 6th cuppa. Here’s the Online Blanket Fort MBR (Must Be Read) list as of today… these all must be read by the end of the year… if not sooner!

In no particular order:

The Hunting Party – Lucy Foley

A Netgalley approval that I’ve had for months now, not released until January 2019 so PLENTY time yet.

Mystery book – Mystery author

Another Netgalley approval. Embargoed until the end of October and released November 2018.

Seventh – Lewis Hastings

I have had this for ages and ages. I promise to get it read soon Lewis!

No Way Out – Cara Hunter

Netgalley. I shouldn’t be allowed to request books unsupervised.

My Name is Anna – Lizzy Barber

Direct from the publisher. Released January 2019.

Don’t You Cry – Cass Green

Netgalley again! It’s no wonder my review percentage on that site is awful… none of them have been read to be reviewed yet!

And here’s the TBR (To Be Read), the books that I’d like to have read by the end of 2018 in order to start the New Year fresh.

Again, in no particular order:

Th1rt3en – Steve Cavanagh

This has had fab reviews on both Goodreads and Amazon.

The Chalk Man – C.J. Tudor

Much hyped novel… wanted to see what the fuss was about. Intended to have it as a creepy read over Halloween. *intended to*

In The Dark – Cara Hunter

Second novel from Cara Hunter, this will need read before I tackle the Netgalley approval of No Way Out (above).

In a House of Lies – Ian Rankin

It’s Ian Rankin. It’s Rebus. My mother has pinched this one for now.

The Blood Road – Stuart MacBride

I’ll need to go back and read In The Cold Dark Ground before reading this one. I have completely forgotten where Logan McRae has ended up. Bad book blogger.

The Poppy War – R.F. Kuang

Another hyped novel that I’m desperate to read. On reserve at the library.

The Dry – Jane Harper

Much reviewed and raved about novel. Had it for ages and just never got round to reading… probably because I spend too much time on Netgalley getting other books…

The Mistake – KL Slater

This poor wee soul has been languishing on my kindle for about a year now… soon!

Doesn’t seem like that many now I see them all written down. Maybe this is totally doable! Ten weeks/ 14 books = 1.4 books a week? Piece of piss. Ahem… I must go, reading to be done!* I’ve included links for all of the books above. Should you choose to buy the book using the link provided, I shall receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.
